It’s a must, housing insures the perfect seal of the dome + it allows you to take your dome/hero5 deeper than 10m (for diving). Housing comes with the dome.

Hi Tracy, yes, you can take the camera housing that comes with the dome as well as the dome itself deeper than 10 meters. Up to 30m below surface should not be a problem.

Or if it can only go to 10 metres, and not more than that. The wording in the description (quote: that allows you to take your Hero5 to depths under 10m) means to me, that it can only go 1-10 metres under water.

If you could clarify, that would be great. Just want to ensure I’m understanding correctly, as I want something I can use for scuba diving also. Or whether I need to look at two different types of housing. One with dome for over/under shots, and another for scuba diving. Many thanks.

Hi Gabriel, we don’t sell a trigger, we were testing a few different systems but none are completely compatible.
